Sour Apple Crump Pie
You can never go wrong by serving a dessert pie. The modest apple cake is renewed with sour sour cream, thick raisins, crunchy nuts and a cinnamon crumb filling. Start with a homemade dough for the bottom crust, then add apple slices, sugar, cinnamon, sour cream and raisins. We like to use a combination of apple varieties to get the right balance between sweet and tangy. Pour the stuffing into the crust and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Sprinkle with cinnamon-butter sprinkles and bake for about an hour until the crust is golden yellow and the apples are soft.
