Rnd 4-9: 1 sc in each st around (18)
Stuff the head.
Rnd 10: (1 sc, dec) 6x (12)
Rnd 11: dec 6x (6)
Rnd 12: inc 6x (12)
Rnd 13: (1 sc, inc) 6x (18)
Rnd 14: (5 sc, inc) 3x (21)
Rnd 15-18: 1 sc in each st around (21)
Rnd 19: (5 sc, dec) 3x (18)
Stuff the body.
Rnd 20: (1 sc, dec) 6x (12)
Rnd 21: dec 6x (6) FO.

Wings (2 pcs)

With Drops yarn.
Rnd 1: magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: inc 6x (12)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) 6x (18)
Make 3 ch, then back: 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc in the last st of Rnd 2, 1 sc in the first st of Rnd 3, 1 sl st.
Sew them on both sides of the body.

Tail

With Drops yarn.
Make 7 ch, 6 sl st back, continue to make 8 ch, 7 sl st back,
7 ch again, 6 sl st back.
Sew it on the chicken’s bottom.

Beak

With Catania yarn.
Rnd 1: magic ring (4)
Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) 2x (6) FO.
Sew it on between Rnd 4 and 8 of the head.
Embroider eyes for the chick 2-2 sts away from the beak.
Use black cotton yarn and the French knot technque.

Legs (2 pcs)

With Catania yarn.
Make 7 ch, 2 sl st back, 2 ch again, 1 sl st back, 1 sl st in the 5th ch of the starting ch-link, 2 ch again, 1 sl st back, 1 sl st in the 5th ch of the starting ch-link, 4 sl st back in the starting ch link. Sew them on.
